The UK tech skills gap is set to narrow, as leading UK tech job board, CWJobs' reveals over half (55%) of non-tech workers contemplating a career change have considered or begun the process of moving into a tech or IT-based role since the pandemic.

of IT and technology support, the 'Turning to Tech' report by CW
Jobs found that nearly half (45%) of IT workers said their company
is currently actively recruiting for tech-based roles.
This news comes following the CBI's announcement that £13bn will be
needed to retrain adults by 2030 to support the future economy. I
learn more about the report's key findings and how over a fifth
(22%) of all workers have undertaken online tech training courses
since the pandemic hit to enhance their employability and ensure
they are adaptable to the future world of work.
Dominic also shares how over eight in 10 (81%) IT workers would welcome talent from outside the tech industry, with almost three in 10 (28%) supporting this as it would help close the skills gap. Finally, we discuss how IT support (33%) and cybersecurity (23%) are top priorities for tech skills needed.
